Artist’s statement
The garden finds its new rhythm and colours with the arrival of the autumn season. Instead of raking falling leaves, I’m kept busy by cutting and pruning flowers flourishing in my September garden. But I was happy to find that they reflected Autumn colours, so I improvised and created this jazzy mix to show the changing season.
Only a few figs are left, and like the little apples on my sapling fruit trees, they’re nibbled at by all the wildlife. I did though manage to salvage one little strawberry that the birds had missed.
