Nature Treasures

Limited Edition

A collection of treasures as nature awakens after the winter.  I’m constantly collecting feathers, seashells and even snail shells from my garden and along the beaches here in Algarve. Like in Dutch 16th and 17th paintings, I added them as a contrast to the ephemerality of the flowers. Garden flowers, including Narcissus, Ranunculus, pale green Hellebores, and Snapdragons are intertwined with the blue of wild Scilla, Wild Clary, Borage and Grape Hyacinths. The dripping turquoise paint is a reminder of the human touch as these small nature wonders are gathered.
