This floral artwork is a balance of native and cultivated flowers, their colours symbolising love, romance, affection, happiness…and passion. This year my field and the adjoining ones across from my house were covered in a dazzling mix of pink and red wildflowers composed of pink Field Gladiolus, red Poppies and even for the first time the rarer pink Poppy. The garden also was filled with the same colours as Roses, Hibiscus, Pelargoniums, and Red Valerian were all in bloom. In my drought-resistant gravel garden I also have a variety of pink Rock Roses (Cistus).
