Artist’s statement
Summer flowers remind me of a country line dance. On cloudless hot July days, in unison, they all face in the direction of the sun forming a choreographed display in the garden. Some perform best in the full sun while others group together in the semi-shade. And the figs fatten up and drop off the branches waiting to be collected while the birds take turns feasting on them.
