Driving up a dirt country lane earlier this week, we stopped the car when we saw a field full of fallow deer. After a recent wildlife spotter adventure to observe and find out more about deer, my children were especially excited to see all the varieties of colours in this wild herd of fallow deer. We spotted dappled, light beige and dark brown deer grazing side by side. Of course, within minutes, the deer were aware of us and leapt over a fence back into the woods.
I finally joined Instagram this month – join me here 🙂
Beautiful animals, it’s really interesting to see the variety of colour x
I’m always happy to spot deer in the local forest – they’re so beautiful to watch. Fabulous photo Kriss; I love the variation in colour of the deer.
Deers are one of my favourite animals to photo, stunning

Lovely photo. Deer are such beautiful animals
What a fantastic photo. Beautiful creatures x
There are a couple of herds on the various farms around us and each has a white one. They always look so majestic!
My kids love deer. Whenever we drive through Richmond Park we try to see who is the first to spot one. 🙂
We have fallow deer too and our stag has the lighter colour
Wow your stag must look stunning. And it’s rutting season now 🙂
Love their color. Always graceful animals and a joy to look at =) #mysundayphoto
Thank you Merlinda. It was fascinating seeing so many different colours in one herd together.
