Every day I wake up to the sound of swallows twittering away outside my window – all perched on a line. This weekend I watched as mama swallow – I presume it was the mother – took turns feeding her fledglings on a wire just outside our kitchen window. I soon knew when this parent was about to swoop in as the swallow fledglings started to shake and flap their wings while begging with open beaks. It’s going to be so quiet when they leave us in Sussex to migrate in October for southern Africa!

A great moment to capture! 🙂
What a great shot – I get dive bombed by swallows each time I go in the pig pen!
They’re beautiful, aren’t they?

It’s amazing that she can feed her young in mid air like that. Well captured! Small birds are so hard to get.
