At first we were surprised by our visitor. Now ‘our’ pheasant shows up every morning and pecks around the ground under the birdfeeder. Even when it snows!

Ahhh, great shot! That’s this year’s Christmas cards sorted!!
Lovely that you can get a pheasant to come into your garden. We have lots of birds around us but peasants are quite a are sighting.
They are gorgeous birds and yours (possession is everything!) looks nice and plump!! We have a pleasant too and it’s always fun when the children spot their ‘colourful bird’ in the garden.
The snowy background really enhances the pheasants colours. Lovely photo xx
What a lovely visitor to have! Fantastic photo x
That’s a very round pheasant
He sort of looks like an ‘angry bird’ – all puffed up because of the snow!
I had a feeling we’d seen this visitor before! Brilliant 🙂
Amazing capture! She is so pretty! #mysundayphoto
What a great sight in the snow. Love this photo
Thank you for linking up
Lovely shot, it looks great against the snow! #MySundayPhoto
incredible photograph, what a lovely visitor to have!
Love the contrast of the pheasant against the snow. Poor thing looks so cold and I imagine he’s sohappy you have a birdfeeder in the garden.
Thanks Izzie – I think he’s puffed up his feathers because of the snow. Sort of looks like an angry bird with the round body!
What a beautiful shot. The colours of the pheasant are beautiful against the snow x #mysundayphoto
Gorgeous, and such a unique visitor
Lovely photograph, is there snow actually on its tail feathers too?
Wow great shot, isn’t he/she beautiful x
Lovely capture, such pretty birds! My grandmother trained one for years, think he was called Peter or something! 😀
Wow how amazing to train one!
What a beautiful photo, so striking against the snow x
Project phasanrt still very much live and kicking
He’s discovered food drops on ground around bird feeder so has no intention of going!
All his glory is shown off against the snowy background; such beautiful birds.
Too lazy to hunt for itself when there’s free food on offer. 😀 She looks so striking against the snow.
Such a stunning image! I love the colours of the feathers against the background of the frosted field. Poor pheasant looks a bit cold!
What a fabulous photo. Love that he’s even got snow on his back!
He was rather keen on finding food and didn’t seem to mind the snow!
Brilliant! My mother has a few pheasants that she feeds. She’s become very attached to them and refers to them as “her’s”. She does it every year, despite what the future holds for them. Great image, as you can tell, it got me reminiscing. #MySUndayPhoto
My daughter was very relieved that the hunting season ended today as she’s getting rather fond of our visitor.
